Roshelle Howard began dancing at 4, where she trained under Erin Mckeever and Islay Dillon-Ogden. While at Trillium, she joined the studio's company, where she danced many soloist roles starting at 12. As a student, she attended many summer ballet intensives, including American Ballet Theater, Joffrey Ballet, Ballet Magnificat, Oregon Ballet Theater, Bolshoi Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Sacramento Ballet. These intensives helped her to gain more skills to help her pursue he career as a professional ballet dancer. While ballet was Roshelle's primary focus, she also has vast experience in jazz, contemporary, Latin, and lyrical. At 17, Roshelle danced with Paradosi Ballet Company for five years. Throughout her professional career she has danced many soloist roles from various classical ballets and new choreographer set by various choreographers. Then, when Covid hit, she decided to step away from dancing and focus on her students. As a teacher, she has worked in the field for over ten years and has been blessed to work with amazing students who inspire her to work hard for them. In 2019 Roshelle got certified in Progressing Ballet Technique, a strengthening program designed to keep dancers safe and healthy. At Valor Conservatory of Dance, Roshelle is excited to provide solid technical training for her dancers and create an environment where everyone feels safe and welcome.
